Imperial Trail is an abstract home decor print, with the intent of empowering individuals of  darker skin tones whether directly of African decent or other.

The symbolism of this paintings name "Imperial Trail" and the visual depiction of this silhouette women is a comment on the accomplishments of individuals of African decent.

Visually and linguistically he is connecting black with a "Trail" or the idea of a regal timeline. This is in conflict with the perpetuated notions of black men and women being aggressive, ignorant loud and so on.

Even though a shadow is cast on many contributions of individuals with darker skin that does not remove their imprint. The texture of the value  blending is to show the soft nature of black. The decision to use orange is to create warmth in the piece. The abrupt contrast of the values is intended to communicate the depth black brings with its mere presence.

Saeed is intentionally focusing on the positive. He is pushing to change the perspective associated with people of African decent. The last point of note is that he leaves a gaping dark hole or entrance in the direction the subject is looking to show there is a place for black expansion.
